HSL introduces Xin Kai : First New Landed Residential since 2017

HSL has introduced its first new landed-only residential project, Xin Kai, or Indah Singai, a new housing development along the Pan Borneo Highway since La Promenade in 2017.

Xin Kai, which means “New Opening” in Chinese, comprises just 46 two-storey terrace houses, and they are located about five minutes from Batu Kawa Riverside Park.

This housing project is HSL’s first project with Ar Chang Jih Ren, who has designed landmark projects, including Sibu’s famous central market and Chemsain’s green headquarters.

Chang said all houses at Xin Kai will feature jacked roofs to improve residents' comfort.

Xin Kai is planned accord­ing to the Sarawak government's latest Drainage and Irrigation guidelines. 

Not only are the homes built at a higher level, but about 10 per cent of the open space includes ponds for flood water reten­tion.

Chang noted that the houses have a mod­ern thetic that is “unbusy but not plain”. 

“For col­ours on accent walls, we match the sur­round­ings: Mount Sin­gai is just nearby, and we took col­our inspir­a­tion from the beau­ti­ful scenery,” he said.

Pengurus Besar Kanan Pembangunan Hartanah HSL, Tay Chiok Kee, berkata kejayaan dan lokasi strategik Xin Kai mendorong syarikat itu merancang lebih banyak pembangunan rumah bertanah berkonsepkan sama pada masa hadapan. 

Pembinaan projek bermula pada 2025 dan kini mencapai kira-kira sepertiga kemajuan, dengan sasaran siap sepenuhnya pada pertengahan 2027.
